Beaujolais

The entire Beaujolais region has the AOC designation Beaujolais or Beaujolais supérieur. Supérieur means that it has a higher alcohol content. Red wine is made in this area. Small percentage of white. The characteristic grape used for red wine is the Gamay noir à jus blanc.
