Is the wine still ready to drink?
No one can guarantee whether a wine is still ready to drink. Depends on a number of factors.
What is important is: which region does the wine come from and the vintage year. How has the wine been preserved all these years? The quality systematically declines around 20 years old.
Always store wines horizontally, and absolutely NOT in a refrigerator. A wine cellar is best, but a climate chamber will also suffice.
If you decide to open the old wine, keep in mind that the cork is porous. Use a good corkscrew!
