The way you store the champagne is important. Store champagne horizontally and in the dark at a temperature between 10 and 12 ºC.

The quality of the grapes plays a major role in the shelf life of a champagne. Champagnes made from grapes from a vintage year and grapes from a Premier Cru or Grand Cru municipality generally have a longer shelf life.

Champagne is best served at a temperature of between 8 and 10 ºC. Don't drink champagne too cold. This is at the expense of the taste and is a waste of the beautiful bottle of champagne. A champagne that is too warm loses its liveliness and mousse very quickly.

The best way to cool your bottle of champagne is to place it in a cooler with half ice and half water. After 20 to 30 minutes it's time to enjoy your bottle of champagne!
